Omkara music is the most refreshing music I have heard for a long time. With unconventional lyrics and rhythm.
This is preposterous.

and to put it plainly, me thinks that bollywood cant stand true, unpretentious talent, moreso if they are outsiders (literally and figuratively)

kamal hassan, maniratnam, kashyap,vishal bhardwaj...

and for all the holy crap about modernisation, "creativity", corporatisation it is still a distributor friendly junkyard quite akin to my telugu land... it shall take light years or will it be my grandkids watching 75th FF awards when a KJ or a DJ doesnt get a POWER award...

my guess for the next lifetime
a-chee-vement (read appeasement) award: Rakesh Roshan

Time to start hawking Raja Hindustani DVDs with a raffle for CDs of the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai soundtrack. In addition to the please-all-concerned algorithm, I think we can safely assume that the combinatorial device adopted in selecting the year's "best" is choosing the highest earning pieces of dead pigeon wings; who says it's a sad day for Bollywood? It's just another day in parodeux.
