The first one is Nagin (the one that didn't have Sridevi).

The remaining, I have no clue.

Btw, Fool 'n Final (I love that 'n there), was inspired by ______. ? (the period is the hint there. hee hee)

Teja: sorry if the post was misleading, but the entire description is about the same film. And no, it isn't "Nagin", but "Nagin" is a decent clue in turn.

I know the src film, but I didn't know about the full stop until just now (George had to step in). Dhanyavaad for trivia-bit.

"I know the src film," - was referring to F 'n F. What say we make an Alien vs Predator style "Neal 'n Nikki meets Fool 'n Final"? Scary, eh?

Man!! all talking about the same movie? It must be Nagina then. Or Nageenaa. Maybe too early for that bit of craze.

Speaking of which, I came across two really good ones today (what odds):

Aanjjan Srivastava (our very own Mr. Wagle) - sad
Audithya - some Kannada actor. Wonder if he worked for one of the big 5, or whatever.

Horrified to hear about the 'strange' case of Srivastava. Audithya is hilarous.

In related news, the man formerly known as Anu Malik is (as of Jun 5th, 11:42 am) now Annu Malek.

No N[a]+g[i|e]+n[a]+s. Try a different tack.

It is Jaani Dushman. Though I've no idea about the director. I've seen that movie, though since it was on DD I didn't have to sit through a deluge of ads.

"Jaani Dushman" is my guess, dunno about the director.

Vinayak, Rohan, 10^6: very well done.

"Jaani Dushman" indeed. As Vinayak may not have realised, the new "Jaani Dushman - Ek Anokhi Kahani" is extremely relevant, as the necessary clues actually point to it: humungous cast, crazy supernatural plot, bridal fetish, badly placed songs, poor dancing - the works.

The connection is that both the films are directed by the same person, the old one in 1979, and the new one from a few years ago.

So we're still open for the name of the director. Give it a shot - he's a must-know!

Ah... It was Jani-Dushman. Should've seen the post earlier :-). And from what I remember from my childhood, this movie was a big hit. BTW, I have seen Rekha do, cringe inspiring, I must say, Amitabh impression in another movie, with VinoD Mehra playing Doc in the Village.

It was Sanjeev Kumar with the Resident Evil, as I remember. Got to see this movie again ;-)

It is Jaani Dushman by Rajkumar Kohli..Daemon pointed the end of the movie..:-)

J Ramanand said...

Daemon, yogesh: well done.

Indeed, Rajkumar Kohli was responsible for both the "Jaani Dushman*" movies, the second to re-launch his son. Quite a scary output for one man.
