Sahadeva UvaachaThe Sunday Magazine section of The Hindu has a interesting new series of extracts from what is supposed to be "a novel in progress." by Kesava Menon. It's a version of the Mahabharata narrated by Sahadeva ,"the youngest and perhaps the most insignificant of the Pandavas" and is set at the beginning of the 13th year of exile, the "incognito" phase.
Apart from being a revision of the fascinating epic, it is not the usual "PG" rated fare, but a little more adult with an attempt towards "realism". Sahadeva gets bumped up the importance scale which provides us a fresh new viewpoint.
