Has anyone noticed...

... that the Indian ladies cricket team has actually won all its 4 matches so far at the Women's World Cup and is currently 2nd behind Australia in the points table (only technically, for we are merely .001 behind on the net run rate).

For a nation whose news channels put each day of a Test involving the men's team as the lead story on primetime news, we could do with a little more publicity for this great run by another of our sport representatives. One thing, however, is certain: if we don't win a single match at the World Cup from here on, there won't be endless analyses and irate calls for sacking Mithali Raj as captain, nor will anyone throw stones at Anjum Chopra's house :-)

Let's hope the team continues its current run in South Africa.
