Of "Ambi Valleys"

Nice article on some of the everyday nomenclatural occurences among Tam-Brahms (link thanks to Amit V and Harish).

I don't have any "Ambi mama" myself, so I can't rejoice in the festivities (having a "ambi periappa" instead), but some of my cousins do. For the record, we even have "chinnambi"s around :-) (translation: small 'ambi's)
