Caribbean Cricket and hits to this blog

A random check of my blog stats yesterday showed a surge in readership on the 25th, indicating I got linked somewhere. Turns out that a weblog on a West Indies Cricket site linked to my post on Brian Lara a few days ago.

The increase in hits made it "the busiest day" for my blog. Incidentally, the previous "busiest day" was when I got linked on the Cricinfo blog almost 5 months ago to the day.

Which is a lesson that if your aim is to seek more publicity, you are better off talking about films and cricket/sports :-). Extrapolate this to all media of all scales, and I can figure why almost everyone ODs on these subjects.

Coming back to the site, Caribbean Cricket seems to have comprehensive coverage of the daily soap that is Windies cricket. There's even an interesting article on the future of cricket coaching by Greg Chappell tied to the Indian coach hunt.
