"House"
Last week, I caught an episode of "House" on AXN, a medical drama series which treats the process of diagnosis and treatment as if solving a mystery (which it is, in a sense). Though American, the plot and acting caught the eye. First, there was Hugh Laurie in it playing the eponymous Dr. Gregory House. Laurie is one of my favourite actors (he's famous for his roles in "Blackadder" and as Bertie in "Jeeves and Wooster"), and like many British actors, he is equally adept at drama as he is at comedy. The series is directed by Bryan Singer. The episode I saw had a multi-threaded plot centering around diagnoses of the leg, and involved Gregory House's own leg ailment. Was quite interesting, and so is on the "will-watch list". Of interest is also the many scattered references to Sherlock Holmes.

If this is the first episode you caught, bad luck for you. I think the season they are showing now (season 1) is about to end this week. Though the show is interesting, I watch it mostly for a weekly darshan of Dr.Cameron.
I realise that now :-) Still, I guess the 2nd season is about to begin and should be able to catch glimpses on and off on trips back home. And I'm eventually expecting a full repeat.
