Lessons
It was Mark Twain, I think, who said they are called "lessons" because there are so less of them. Some recent quotes I caught from the instructive medium of TV electioneering that made me miss education:Advanced Courses in History:
"... and there was Helen who caused World War II"
- Vinay Katiyar, BJP, comparing Sonia Gandhi to the wretched fates of Gandhari
and Ms. Troy (not Nicholas Cage's sister, you movie freak!)
For the "chchaatra" preparing for Hindi Madhyamik:
"You know who they were? Woh a.ngrezo.n ke ToDii the!".
("ToDii" == "Lackey" according to the subtitles)
- Kapil Sibal, INC, generous in his "praise" of L.K.Advani's family.
