The original Babu Moshai departs
:: Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee in 'Anand'
The man who showed us there was more to Hindi cinema than some of his peers thought, has taken the elevator to a floor above. Thank you Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The closing lines of "Anand" (quoted above) easily apply to you too. We'll meet pretty soon - many of us here at the lower floors will soon be watching "Golmaal" or "Chupke Chupke" or "Mili" or "Anupama" or "Guddi" or "Bawarchi" or "Namak Haram" on some movie channel for the umpteenth time, and we shall chuckle together. Kyu.nki apni to chaal hi TeDhii hai :-)
Kyu.n, babu moshai, Thiik kahaa naa?

So true. Have you seen Jurmana? One of the best by Babu Moshai!
I haven't, actually. But of course, I've seen a part of it referred to in Golmaal :-)
Yes yes, I remember that :-)
Senti post. Hrishi da film's were so down to earth and portrayed the Indian middle-class genuinely.
