You and quizzing

Do you like going to quizzes but are diffident about participating because you don't know how well you'd do? Do you think you'd like to quiz, but are not sure what to expect? Did you try quizzing but had a boring time at all the quizzes you went to? If so, we'd like your feedback here (it is a somewhat long post).
